The Massachusetts Attorney General's office announced today that Somerville's trash contractor violated state wage laws. |

does anyone know what the Mayor intends to do about this mess? During the Alderman's debate and subsequent approval of the 5 year deal Alderman Heuston said there was an out clause in the contract if they were found guilty of any wrongdoing. Alderman Roche and Desmond were quick to point out these were allegations at the time and not actual charges. They were incorrect.
It seems the city should act in the appropriate, legal way and void the contract. The alderman really goofed on this one (Miss Gewirtz aside). Time to fess up and do the right
