« Books of Hope holds reading at Somerville library | Main | Somerville suits up for climate change »

October 28, 2009

"(After a) $25 million Somerville Avenue project, we've still got Market Basket wreaking havoc at that location," Heuston said.

And exactly whose fault is that? People have known for years that Market Basket is a high traffic area. Why didn't the city actually plan for better traffic flow into and out of the parking lot before they started the project? They failed to plan turn lanes and traffic lights and better placement of the bus stop that could have helped with the traffic flow and NOW they want to blame it on Market Basket??? Yeah. The parking lot is a zoo--those of us who shop there know that. But it's the city's own fault for not dealing with how the traffic affects Somerville Ave. They blew it big on this one.
