« Teens push mayor on open space | Main | The View From Prospect Hill »

June 20, 2008

Why has the Somerville News not posted one news story on the "Responsible Employer Ordinance", i.e. union giveaway, since it was passed last Friday. Who are they protecting?

oh boy

Despite our economic problems, I think the mayor and his staff have done a very good job financially running the city's budget. This has to be the first time that I can remember where our city is not making threats to "lay off" employees. In fact I see that there are more projects going on in the city that ever before.

I am disappointed the Mayor did not add in provisions for more cotton candy machines. Cotton candy has been a summertime staple since I was a young lad, and the mayor has let this vital aspect to the economy of Somerville fall asunder. So not only do I not get cotton candy, but now I have to walk around and see all these illegal immigrants eating what little cotton candy we have left!

Cotton candy for Americans! Thus spoke Imux.
