A cop versus Somerville Icecats "oldtimers" game of hockey was given more significance last week when the money raised was donated to the fire victims of 9-11 Harvard Place. In December, the Thibeault's lost their family home of almost 100 years in a devastating blaze that destroyed almost everything in the home, including the Christmas gifts.
Special thanks should go out to Sgt. Bill Rymill of the SPD for organizing this game. Bill is always there when people are in need. As a Mason, he got the Lodge to donate 2 defibrillators to the department and every year he's the go-to-guy for the Guns and Hoses game. His outstanding community service should be recognized.

I wanted to thank Sgt. Rymill for all his support and dedication to the Thibeault family, Chief Halloway, and The City Of Somerville. Sgt. Rymill's unique disposition enables him to work well with others. Sgt. Rymill's positive attitude and charming smile truly deserves an Oscar/Academy Award! I hope the lack of oxygen on the upper level of the Somerville Police Department doesn't effect his future contributions to the community. Then again, playing dumb is being smart! How cute! Don't worry, your not the only one, stay tuned.
