Just look at the hell JFK went through because he was Catholic, the media dogged him for the whole election cycle. If it wasn't for Daley in Chicago he would have never got elected.

Whatever the hell your smoking can you please share?

Look below at how many times JFK was asked about his religion that we know of. Dare anyone ask Obama about his church and religion and you would be labled a bigot.

"It is my firm belief that there should be separation of church and state as we understand it in the United States -- that is, that both church and state should be free to operate, without interference from each other in their respective areas of jurisdiction. We live in a liberal, democratic society which embraces wide varieties of belief and disbelief. There is no doubt in my mind that the pluralism which has developed under our Constitution, providing as it does a framework within which diverse opinions can exist side by side and by their interaction enrich the whole, is the most ideal system yet devised by man. I cannot conceive of a set of circumstances which would lead me to a different conclusion." -- letter to Glenn L. Archer, 23 February 1959

"Whatever one's religion in his private life may be, for the officeholder, nothing takes precedence over his oath to uphold the Constitution and all its parts -- including the First Amendment and the strict separation of church and state." -- Interview, Look, 3 March 1959
"I believe the American people are more concerned with a man's views and abilities than with the church to which he belongs. I believe the founding fathers meant it when they provided in Article VI of the Constitution that there should be no religious test for public office. And I believe that the American people mean to adhere to those principles today." -- address to the American Society of Newspaper Editors, 21 April 1960
"I believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute--where no Catholic prelate would tell the President (should he be Catholic) how to act, and no Protestant minister would tell his parishioners for whom to vote--where no church or church school is granted any public funds or political preference--and where no man is denied public office merely because his religion differs from the President who might appoint him or the people who might elect him.
"I believe in an America that is officially neither Catholic, Protestant nor Jewish--where no public official either requests or accepts instructions on public policy from the Pope, the National Council of Churches or any other ecclesiastical source--where no religious body seeks to impose its will directly or indirectly upon the general populace or the public acts of its officials--and where religious liberty is so indivisible that an act against one church is treated as an act against all.

"For while this year it may be a Catholic against whom the finger of suspicion is pointed, in other years it has been, and may someday be again, a Jew--or a Quaker--or a Unitarian--or a Baptist. It was Virginia's harassment of Baptist preachers, for example, that helped lead to Jefferson's statute of religious freedom. Today I may be the victim--but tomorrow it may be you--until the whole fabric of our harmonious society is ripped at a time of great national peril.

"Finally, I believe in an America where religious intolerance will someday end--where all men and all churches are treated as equal--where every man has the same right to attend or not attend the church of his choice--where there is no Catholic vote, no anti-Catholic vote, no bloc voting of any kind--and where Catholics, Protestants and Jews, at both the lay and pastoral level, will refrain from those attitudes of disdain and division which have so often marred their works in the past, and promote instead the American ideal of brotherhood.

"That is the kind of America in which I believe. And it represents the kind of Presidency in which I believe--a great office that must neither be humbled by making it the instrument of any one religious group nor tarnished by arbitrarily withholding its occupancy from the members of any one religious group. I believe in a President whose religious views are his own private affair, neither imposed by him upon the nation or imposed by the nation upon him as a condition to holding that office.

"I would not look with favor upon a President working to subvert the first amendment's guarantees of religious liberty. Nor would our system of checks and balances permit him to do so--and neither do I look with favor upon those who would work to subvert Article VI of the Constitution by requiring a religious test--even by indirection--for it. If they disagree with that safeguard they should be out openly working to repeal it." -- address to the Ministerial Association of Greater Houston, 12 September 1960

"If my church attempted to influence me in a way which was improper or which affected adversely my responsibilities as a public servant sworn to uphold the Constitution, then I would reply to them that this was an improper action on their part. It was one to which I could not subscribe." -- press conference, Houston, Texas, 12 September 1960
"We do not want an official state church. If ninety-nine percent of the population were Catholics, I would still be opposed to it. I do not want civil power combined with religious power. I want to make it clear that I am committed as a matter of deep personal conviction to separation." -- interview, CBS-TV, Face the Nation, 30 October 1960

The best thing that happened to the USA was Lee Harvey changing where JFK parted his hair. JFK got us into vietnam, bay of pigs and almost got all of us blown up (Cuba Missle Crisis). I rank him right up there with Jimmy Carter for imbecile of the century.

Romney Quits!

Breaking News.......The "Ken Doll" is pulling out of the Presidential race!

How about that. He's just like Christy Mihos. He spent millions of dollars of his own money to go from 40 percent in the polls to 10 percent. Now all we need is for Ron Paul to bow out leaving a McCain Huckabee ticket. May be Ron Paul will take the $20 million he's sitting on and run as an Independent which will probably let Hill-Billy into the White House through the back door. Let's face it, that's what Fox News wanted to happen anyway since they've been backing Clinton all along with quiet donations and keeping Ron Paul out of the news. Whatever sells papers.

Yah it would be like Ralph Nader in 2000 in reverse instead of taking votes from liberals that Gore needed he'll take votes from conservatives that McCain needs. Ron Paul can be called the AlterNader!!!!!!!

There goes the Dems chance of regaining the White House. Although the conservatives cannot stand McCain, the Republicans are not about to let either Clinton or Obama take it and will in all likelihood fall in behind the McCain candidacy.

Romney would have gotten whipped in the general election. He's an awful flip-flopper and liar (remined me of Gore and Kerry) -- and I am glad he is gone. This way McCain can whip Kankles Clinton or Osama Obama come November.

Looks like we'll be driving the bus for another 4 years! Moonbats, get used to it. Just sit quietly in the back of the bus as the adults (GOP) are still in charge.

Go McCain 2008!

Imux - Again I find I need to school you about what America is and what we stands for. Should Mr. McCain take the White House it is my duty as an American to call bullshit when and where I see it. It is my Constitutional right to voice my opinion as it is your right to continue to call Hillary "Kankles" should the rest of the world be calling her "Madam President". I shall not go to the back of the bus and sit quietly. I will not go to the back of the bus and sit quietly. And BTW, neither will or should you when President Obama is sworn in.

The real question Repulicans should be asking is will McCain LIVE until January 2009. The guy is so old that Willard Scott has him on speed dial.

Romney is a flip-flopper. Interesting statement and leads one to believe that only he does it. Hillary said "Iraq has weapons of mass destruction" then there is this. Hillary said "Iraq has no weapons of mass destruction". Well which one is it Hillary do they or don't they. Bill Clinton said they did and then bombed the hell out them. How is it you never hear him say that Iraq never had them. To do so now, he would then be calling himself a liar. If Romney were Protestant he would be the nominee of the Republican party. People here always bring these conversations back to Bush & Iraq. They talk about our Preident with hatred and disgust. I ask again "How many non-voluteers died in WWII, Korea and Viet-Nam?". Why did we have a civil war? The issues at that time could have been solved through discussion and not war. Close to 3/4 of a million Americans died, more than all other wars combined and for what. When (and if) it is Hillary or Obama I hope the hatred stops. It doesnt help us or what is going on in our city.

Who is Barack Obama?

Very interesting and something that should be considered in your choice.

This is very scary to think of what lies ahead of us here in our own United States...better heed this and pray about it and share it.

We checked this out on "". It is factual. Check for yourself.

Who is Barack Obama?

Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM
from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHEIST from Wichita, Kansas.

Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii. When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His
mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia. When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocate to Indonesia. Obama
attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that that he is not a radical.

Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education.

Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta.

Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. Since
it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined
the United Church of Christ in an attempt to dow nplay his Muslim background.

ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran.

Barack Hussein Obama will NOT recite the Pledge of Allegiance nor will he show any reverence for our flag. While others place their hands
over their hearts, Obama turns his back to the flag and slouches.

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy.

The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States, one of their own!!!!

From Snopes:

One version of the e-mail in circulation claims "We were told this was checked out on ''. It is factual. Check for yourself." and includes a link to this web site. It's our guess that whoever included that bit was counting on folks *not* to check, as our article says the opposite: THAT THE POLEMIC IS NOT FACTUAL BUT RATHER IS FALSE.

Real Conservative

Repeat with me: MCCAIN IS INSANE!

He's been insane since the time when he was captured by the commies. McCain is a Trojan horse, a true Manchurian candidate.

Huckabee is the only conservative candidate. As I had predicted 2 days ago, Romney dropped out and now Republicans will rally behind Huckabee.

Tricky, I am just forwarding the information that I got from trusted friends about Obama. I am not that into this whole email and texting and all that, but when I get an alert like this (Obama is an Al Queda plant) then it's something that I feel I need to share with everyone. If Osa... Obama is not Al Queda then let him prove it. Too much murkiness in his background for my taste and most true American's taste. Plus, the guy does not pay his parking tickets.

I think Snopes disproved the entire content of your "email from trusted friends".

Holly crap, Imux- I've been calling you out on that b*ll sh*t for weeks, and now you roll the text of the email out and claim that you're just forwarding something from trusted friends.

Either you are dense as lead, stupid, or a conniving liar. Or all three. My vote is on the latter.

Greetings. I cannot divulge detailed information about this case here, because of a pending investigation, but the individual going under username "Imux" (according to a public library he recently used) has been implicated in numerous scams in the MA and NJ states. His MO consists in gaining the trust of elderly Republican voters who feel isolated and ostracized because they live in liberal areas, before pulling his tricks on them. Online blogs are his primary way he uses to make first contact with his victims.

Real Conservative:

Espousing one's Christian beliefs evangelically as a part of one's campaign platform is NOT the sign of a real conservative.

Go back and see what Barry Goldwater said about that sort of thing. In fact, you might even want to go back and see what Barry Goldwater said to the Republican Party in general about conservatism. Now THERE was a CONSERVATIVE.

Huckabee panders to the religious right, something that is not the hallmark of a conservative. Even Ronald Reagan knew enough to keep Jerry Falwell at arm's length. He welcomed his support-good politicians do that-but he never out and out took up the cause of either him or the Moral Majority. I'm sorry, but it is what it is.

Even the pompous bag of wind Rush Limbaugh, who I can't stand, knows that the party needs to stop trying to transform itself into all these different things if it is to survive. If McCain is going to be the standard bearer for the Republican Party and if the GOP wants to remain the party of conservatives, he has a lot of work to do convincing me. I personally think that a McCain presidency will be a disaster for the Republican Party. And believe me, I hope I'm wrong!
