Hey Bone Heads

Why did'nt we see the first american flag being waved at the 4th celebration? If you would distribute them, and people would wave them, Everyone would start asking questions and then come to the world famous Union square to see where it was raised. How can I get one of these first flags?

Ron Newman

You used to have a Somerville News box outside the Day Street post office. Can you put it back?

Dr. Mrs. McCarthy

Butters,

No you lazy dick. Pedal your skinny ass across the square(watch the cars) and get one in front of Mike's.

What's next, Butters? Perhaps you want someone to wash your balls for you?

With much love,

Dr. Mrs. McCarthy

And by the way, I knew Ralph Waldo Emerson. He was as they say, a bit daft. Not quite Longfellow(and Henry had a nicer house) but a true patriot and a hell of a poet.

Thanks for the memories, Ralphy!

Getting Old?

Can't speak for anyone else but this Ms. McCarthy thing is getting rather old! Oh well, just venting. She seems to have a post on evry article.

Dr. Mrs. McCarthy

Sweetie,

Don't even try to speak for anyone else.

It's Dr. Mrs. McCarthy.

I am rather old.

It's OK to vent.(just not in an elevator)

The word every has two "e's".

And you do have a choice. If I annoy you, skip my posts. Simple.

All the Best in the World,

Dr. Mrs. McCarthy

James Norton

Dr.Mrs.McCarthy -

Sweetums, you don't have to explain yourself to anyone here. Some of them are just too stupid to get it.

Happy Fifth.

JN

A little Harsh?

A little harsh to be calling a dedicated reader of your paper stupid, don't you think? Just stated my opinion about Ms. McCarthy (politely). The spelling of the word "every" was a typo. And I do skip your posts but don't believe they are funny. But like I said, I don't speek for everyone.

Dr. Mrs. McCarthy

Sweetie,

JN really didn't mean you. Did you JN?

And again it's DR. MRS. McCARTHY.

Yes you were polite. And I in return.

Just trying to help you with your spelling dear. Oh, and the word is spelled "speak".

Oh, and that little white lie you just told to the world about skipping my posts?

Bullshit Sweetie.

Have a Terrific Knight, er, Night,

DR. MRS. McCarthy

The Pie Man

I'm Proud To Be An American in Somerville

Written By The Pie Man

If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life,

And I had to start again with just my children and my wife,

I'd thank my lucky stars to be living here in Somerville today,

'Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away.

I'm proud to be an Somervillian where at least I know I'm free,

And I won't forget the politicians that lost Primaries who gave that right to me,

And I gladly stand up next to you and defend Winter Hill still today, '

Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless Somerville U.S.A.

From the banks of Mystic to the hills of Twin City,

Across the plains of Foss Park to see the illegals standing on the island every morning, Oh what a pity.

From Union down to Davis and Magoon to Shore Drive's Bay

, There's pride in every Somervillians heart and it's time we stand and say:

I'm proud to be an Somervillian where at least I know I'm free,

And I won't forget the politicians that lost Primaries who gave that right to me,

And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, '

Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless Somerville U.S.A.

From the basement of the station to the dump in NH far from the City,

Across the bumps on Somerville Ave to College Ave to watch all the young college pretties.

From Highland down to Powder House and Broadway to McGrath

, There's pride in every Somervillians heart especially when we catch the Traffic and Parking Money Rat

I'm proud to be an Somervillian where at least I know I'm free,

And I won't forget the politicians that lost Primaries who gave that right to me,

And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, '

Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless Somerville U.S.A.

"Who's throwing those pies"?

Teele Sq

There used to be a distribution box for the Somerville News in Teele Square near the bus stop. I don't see it there now. Where in Teele Sq can we get the paper?
