Pedestrian hit on Washington Street

By Tom Nash A 73-year-old man is in critical but stable condition after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Washington Street and McGrath Highway last night. The victim, a Cambridge resident, was transported to an area hospital with "multiple trauma," Deputy Police Chief Paul Upton said. The driver has not been charged. The accident is under investigation by the Somerville Police Crash Reconstruction Unit. Witnesses are asked to call the Traffic Unit at (617) 625-1212.
