The recent Toys-For-Tots Drive conducted in Cambridge was a success again this year thanks to the generosity of the residents and businesses in the city that stepped up to help. In an economic climate that has been increasingly difficult, well over a thousand toys were donated at Cambridge Firehouses as well as various places of business throughout the city.
Deputy Chief Gerry Mahoney of the Cambridge Fire Department said the drive was a success due to the efforts of so many businesses throughout the city such as CambridgeSide Galleria Mall, Draper Laboratories, and Mt. Auburn Hospital, Andy’s Diner and Professional Ambulance Company. Several other Cambridge businesses held toy drives in conjunction with their holiday parties.
