The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) New England hosted its annual breakfast to celebrate the conclusion of the 2011 Summer Associate Research Program. This year’s breakfast was hosted by Ropes & Gray LLP and featured the Honorable Roanne Sragow, First Justice, Cambridge District Court.
“The Summer Associate Research Program provides an excellent opportunity to introduce future lawyers to the importance of pro bono work. While we gain valuable legal research, this program gives summer associates a unique exposure to current challenging civil rights issues on the League’s agenda.” said Derrek Shulman, ADL New England Regional Director
“While pro-bono service is a cornerstone of a rewarding legal career, I also wanted to stress the importance that ethics plays in our profession, and how a successful career is determined by one’s honesty and integrity.” added Justice Sragow, Frist Justice, Cambridge District Court. “I was happy to have an opportunity to address such a strong group of aspiring lawyers with this message.”
The following law firms participated in the 2011 program: Bingham McCutchen LLP; Brown Rudnick LLP; Cooley LLP, Collora LLP; Goodwin Procter LLP; Goulston & Storrs; Holland & Knight LLP: Jones Day; Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo P.C.; Nixon Peabody LLP; Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP; Prince Lobel LLP; Proskauer Rose LLP; Ropes & Gray LLP; and WilmerHale LLP.
