The Cambridge Police Department hosted an Informational Open House for those interested in sitting for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Open Competitive Examination for Police Officers scheduled for April 30, 2011.
Nearly 30 people were in attendance for the meeting at the Robert W. Healy Public Safety Facility on Monday night, February 28th. Those in attendance were greeted by Commissioner Robert C. Haas of the Cambridge Police Department who said, “We are looking for people with the talent and integrity to serve this very diverse city and I am encouraged by the turnout here tonight. Ask questions, be prepared, and good luck to you all.”
The meeting was facilitated by Duane Brown, Affirmative Action Director for the City of Cambridge, and Sheila Keady Rawson, Deputy Director of Personnel for the City of Cambridge. Also participating in the meeting were police department officials and representatives from the Massachusetts Human Resources Division: Ken Gavin, Recruitment Manager, Jennifer Murphy, Compliance Officer, and Bruce Howard, Customer Service Coordinator.
