Celebrate and welcome Centro Latino to Cambridge, with this festive jazz show presented by Jazz for Peace at Ryles Jazz Club in Inman Sq.
In 2009, Centro Latino de Chelsea merged with Concilio Hispano, which has been serving Latinos and immigrants in Cambridge and Somerville for over 40 years. They have recommitted themselves to continue the long tradition of providing quality human services to underserved Latino and immigrant families. Programs include HIV prevention, adult basic education and literacy, citizenship and computer classes, and support for young parents, among others. Currently, the agency is working to expand its workforce training services which are in highest demand as the immigrant population grows in the region. Centro Latino is now one of the largest Latino-directed human service organizations in the state.
