The Cambridge Election Commission expects increased voter participation in the upcoming fall elections. The Primary Election is September 14, 2010, and has a voter registration deadline of August 25th. The State Election is November 2, 2010, and has a voter registration deadline of October 13, 2010.
The Election Commission is conducting voter registration training on September 20, 2010 at 6:30pm, 51 Inman Street, 2nd Floor, Conference Room, Cambridge, MA for those who are interested in conducting voter registration in the community and to further the Motor Voter Law’s goal of encouraging community outreach. Materials to be provided include a Voter Registration Training Manual, voter registration forms in multiple languages, and voting posters which will also be available at the Commission office. Information will be provided on frequently asked questions regarding voting, voter qualifications and how to correctly fill out voter registration forms.
For those unable to attend, the manual will be available at the Commission office and website at http://www.cambridgema.gov/. Voter registration forms are available at the Cambridge Election Commission, 51 Inman Street, Cambridge, MA and various sites in the city including public libraries and post office branches.
